Familiarize yourself with Croissy Library
Our library contains plenty of english books and magazines !
- In the Youth Section you will find subscriptions to the following magazines :
"Discovery Box", "Story Box" and "Adventure Box" including
the corresponding CD, as well as "I love English". A few
albums of "The adventures of Tintin" such as "The Castafiore
Emerald" or "Destination Moon"… - Children's classics such as : The Tale of Peter Rabbit,
The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Little Polar Bear and Something
Else… - In the Adult Section :
The monthly magazine Country Living is available for borrowing.
Regarding books, there is a very varied selection.
Just one example : The Falls by Joyce Carol Oates or the
selection we are proposing this month, aimed specially
for the expatriates living in our town who have a different
view of this country.
Nothing can replace the atmosphere of a library. You can browse through English language books and, why not, French books, and even some bilingual editions. Croissy library is situated at n° 4 allée de Giverny, at the entrance to the Espace Claude Monet, close to the "junior" British School of Paris.
How to join?
Show an ID card and a proof of residence.
Annual membership also gives you access to Le Vésinet and Chatou libraries. Under 26 there is no charge. Families pay a single rate of 40 (each member of the family is provided with a card).

The Secret life of France - BY Lucy Wadham
Lucy Wadham Lucy Wadham was born in London and educated at Oxford. She lived in France for more than 20 years and is now divorced from her French husband. 'The Secret Life of France' relates those years she spent in France.
Anyone who is curious about what life in France is all about should read this book in order to get an insight into the cultural and political heart of France seen through the eyes of a wife and mother who has had to cope with a different educational system and with running a duel-nationality household. She explores the love-hate relationship with
France with wit and intelligence.

Découvrez la Bibliothèque de Croissy : Notre bibliothèque a plein de livres et magazines anglais !
Que vous souhaitiez retrouver des livres en anglais ou peut-être lire en français, voir en bilingue, rien ne vaut l’ambiance d’une bibliothèque. Celle de Croissy se situe au 4 allée de Giverny à l’entrée de l’espace Claude Monet, près de la « junior ».
Comment s’inscrire ? Il suffit de vous munir d’une pièce d’identité et d’un justificatif de domicile. L’adhésion est annuelle et vous permet l’accès également aux bibliothèques du Vésinet et de Chatou. Gratuit pour les moins de 26 ans, il existe un forfait unique de 40€ pour les familles (une carte est délivrée à chaque membre de la famille).
Vous trouverez les abonnements aux magazines suivants :
- « Discovery box » « tory box » et « Adventure Box » avec les CD joints ainsi que « I love English ».
- Des Tintin comme the « Castafiore Emerald » ou « estination Moon »…
